Donna Salazar Week 2

More great techniques this week!

This first page used photographs or pictures which were covered with a thick coat of Glossy Accents.  Donna's advice was to apply the image with glossy accents before cutting off the background, which certainly makes it easier to cut out.  It does mean you can use pictures from magazines and books as well.  Again I didn't have some of the lace or pearl embellishments so improvised.

Page 2 and what lovely paper flowers!  These will fast become a favourite.  I used the Spellbinders Blossom Die to cut out different sizes of flower and used paper from an old book.  The idea was to use her Crafty Chronicle, but it is so lovely I don't want to cut it up!  The flowers were then spritzed with water and then Glimmer Mists, so it is more of a "watery" colour.   Then flowers (while wet) were then screwed into a tight ball to allow the colours to blend and absorb into the paper.   Whilst they were still wet the flowers were placed on some glue and the centres gradually pinched to create the flower centre. They really are so pretty.  I made a whole load and can see I'll be making alot more!
